I have had quite a few memorable cars in the past, and some old web pages that descibe them. This is somewhat of a collection of the old pictures and info that I have around still.

    Past Hotrods

    1980 Volvo 264

The V8 VolvoThis was my first hot rod….Try not to laugh too hard. Lots of people did back then too. They laughed even harder as I pulled away from them with the nitrous oxide burning and tires smoking! This car had a motor that didn’t belong too; I swapped in a small block chevey and TH350 trans. I guess I can admit to having a problem now. 3 cars I have owned that I couldn’t leave alone. I always shrugged off the Porschev as “just a coincidence”, hey it needed an overhaul. But now with 3 silly modified cars in my history, I must admit, I have a quite a habit. Yep, even this mild mannered looking Volvo was pretty fast and quite a street sleeper with a small block chevy stuffed between the fenders.

    1975 Porsche 914

Take a close look at the rear valence in this picture. It’s hard to make out, but there are two exhaust pipes exiting the rear of this car. It was a pretty straightforward swap to put a 350 chevy into this 914 porsche. The car gained about 150-200 lbs in the process, but it was distrubuted evenly front to rear. The handling was amazing, and the acceleration was motorcycle like.
    See more of it.

    1990 Mustang LX Twin Turbo

This was my fastest car. It made about 600hp and ran low 11s in the 1/4 mile, even in Denvers thin air.

    1991 Chevrolet Corvette

I only owned the Vette for a short time, but I really miss this one. I had it on the track a couple times and it was just an incredible handling car.

    2001 Audi S4

My Audi was alot of fun, and really the perfect Colorado car as long as you have the budget to keep one going. It just did everything well. With snow tires, it was excellent in the snow and went skiing often. It was super comfortable, had a wonderful stereo, and was a stoplight terror. In the summers I took it to the local road race tracks. It was right at home there too. The brakes were excellent, and the handling pretty amazing for a 3400lb car. I could stick with corvettes, subaru wrx’s, and other notably fast cars on the track most of the time.
