The pulleys are made by A.S.P. This is a set of the street pulleys. Nice thing about the A.S.P. pulleys is you can pick and choose the exact pulley set you like. I chose to run the smaller underdrive crank pulley, the larger underdrive water pump/fan pulley, and a very small full speed alternator pulley. I didn't want to affect my charging system. The pulley change took about an hour. I then spent another hour running to the auto parts stores to find the right length belt. My old length belt was about 2" too long now. Unfortunately, the new belt was a not so common size and it was quite expensive. About $40 if I remember right. It cost almost as much as the darned pulleys! Be sure to budget that if you do a pulley swap. Once everything was bolted down, I started the motor up. I noticed an immediate improvement in the throttle response. The engine was obviously spinning easier now. I took the car out and hooked up the street dyno immediately and generated the dyno graphs you see above. The car is running very cool, even with the new pulleys. One unforseen benefit is that my fan is much quiter now. The flex fan I run made alot of noise with the stock pulleys. Kinda like an airplane getting ready for takeoff. With the underdrive pulleys, it sounds stock again.
